Your questions, answered
Do I need to buy any hardware?
No. A smartphone with the BANDA Business app is enough: its camera scans the customer's QR code. No terminal, no printer, no cards to produce.
What if the internet goes down?
Your till keeps running. Scanning works without a network, visits are stored on the phone and sent automatically as soon as the connection is back. Only point redemption by the customer waits for the network to return.
How do my customers get the app?
The BANDA app is free for your customers. They download it from Google Play or the App Store, create their account and their QR code appears right away. Share the download link with them, or display your code in the shop.
How do I pay?
No subscription. You top up a balance with Mobile Money from the app, and BANDA deducts a commission on each recorded sale. You are alerted before your balance runs out. Pricing depends on your country and business: contact us.
What happens to my data and my customers' data?
Your business, sales and customer information is only visible to your team, based on each person's role. SMS only go to customers who agreed to receive them, and they can unsubscribe at any time. Full details are in the merchant privacy policy.
Which countries is BANDA available in?
BANDA is available in every country in Africa, with amounts in your country's currency.
